Now, we understand that the ring is not everything and that the love that you have for each other is the most important thing here, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put the effort into getting them a lovely ring. This is the ring that they’re going to show people, and what they are going to have to wear for the rest of their life, so it’s important to get something that they would like. 

For example, you can look into something like an oval six prong solitaire ring, or an emerald cut four prong ring, or whatever you think they would like. 

The Speech 

The final element that we’re going to be talking about is the speech. When you propose to your partner, you need to say something to them about how much you love them, how much they mean to you, and more. This is something that they are going to remember for the rest of their lives, and as such you want to get this right. Don’t forget that people have grown up seeing proposals on the TV, so the standard is quite high and it’s down to you to meet that standard. 

Think about what you want to say, write it down, consider the different ways that you can phrase things, and so much more. If you have written it down, make sure that you memorize it rather than having the piece of paper with you to make it more special.
