Taming My Naturally Curly Hair

Naturally curly hair is nice, until you have to manage it. that's why 90% of the time, you see me with straight hair. I just rather blow dry it straight and flat iron it so I don't have to deal with it. I realized that I am always telling others to love themselves for who they are; to love the hair they have been given because it's YOU and it's gorgeous. I needed to take my own advice. Trust me, I've become somewhat of an expert on hair care products on my journey to love my natural hair. So when I say that John Frieda products have been miracle elixirs in a bottle, I mean every word of that.

Honestly, whether I'm straightening my hair, or leaving it natural, my biggest issue is frizz. I hate it. I can't walk outside on a hot or damp day without my hair doing it's own thing, and it's own thing is not something I'm happy with. So tackling frizz is always a must no matter what I do to my hair. All of John Frieda Frizz Ease products take care of that issue for me.

The 3 day straightening spray is excellent on days when I just want to straighten and let my hair be for a few days. You spray it into damp hair and brush through. Then blow dry straight and finish with your flat iron. It will keep your hair straight and frizz free for up to three days or until your next washing. It really protects your hair as well since you are applying so much heat to it. My hair is always smooth and healthy looking when I use it no matter how often I run the flat iron through it.

The Dream Curls spray is amazing! I love the texture it gives my hair and I love that these are my natural curls! It takes absolutely no effort at all, too. I just spray it on my damp hair after I get out of the shower, scrunch a little, and let it air dry. Did I mention that it smells really good? All John Frieda products do, actually, and I think that's another reason I love them. I'm a sucker for products that smell nice.

When my hair is in it's natural state, since it's so long and heavy, it weighs my hair down a lot. This is where the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Mousse comes in handy. I apply a small hand full to my root area, and use a diffuser attachment on my blow dryer to dry just the roots of my hair. This gives it much more volume and doesn't make my hair look like it's flat on my head. Once the roots are done, I let the rest air dry. When I use the mousse and the dream curls spray, I try to only use the mousse on the roots and the spray on the ends. This keeps my hair feeling light and I can still run my fingers through it. I've discovered that all John Frieda products are light and don't weigh your hair down. They also don't leave your hair stiff and gross looking either.

I credit John Frieda products for my new appreciation of my natural hair.
