Sweet Earth Natural Foods

I've been trying to revise my "diet", so to speak, and eat more natural, healthier foods. I mean, I've already been trying to eat healthier for over a year, but I've moved into the natural ingredient territory and have been trying to eat less fatty meats. I actually still eat meat, but I've cut back drastically. I stumbled upon Sweet Earth Natural Foods, and I have to say, I was intrigued. I'm not going to lie, most natural foods look and sound disgusting to me. Sweet Earth Natural Foods, actually looked and sounded pretty good. So I went out and tried some.

Sweet Earth has a line of foods that I normally love to eat, but without being so high in calories because of additives and portions. Things like macaroni and cheese, that I would normally only save for a cheat day. All of their foods are vegetarian, and a lot are vegan, so there is something for everyone. I live in a small town where it's nearly impossible to find premade, frozen foods for vegan or natural food diets. The section we do have at our local grocery stores are ridiculously small. So naturally, I wasn't surprised when the only Sweet Earth products I could find were the burritos. I was a little disappointed, though, as we had two stores that claimed to carry the products, and one of those two didn't have anything at all. So I've discovered that if you live in a smaller town, you may have to request they carry these products. Luckily, I do like burritos, and those were a few of the products I had wanted to try, so I picked up three to start out with.

They can be heated in the microwave, so they are a quick little meal. The Santa Cruz burrito was somewhere around 300 calories. That's a little more than I normally eat for lunch, but I skipped breakfast that day. I just decided to make it a cheat day and threw some sour cream, hot sauce, and a little extra cheese on it as well. Initially, I'll admit that the reason I put so much other stuff on it, was because I wasn't quite sure how I would like the burrito, but I have to say, it was pretty delicious!

I usually purchase bean and cheese burritos anyways, and these tasted exactly like those, except that they were all natural ingredients and no weird additives like my normal frozen burritos. They are pretty big, too, and fill you up, so they are perfect as a meal all on their own. I ate this at lunch time and wasn't even hungry at dinner. I also like their breakfast burritos as well (when I remember to eat breakfast, that is).

Overall, I'm impressed with Sweet Earth Natural Foods. They taste great, are filling, quick to make, and are much healthier than frozen prepaired foods. I'll be requesting the other products at my local grocery store, like their artisan bowls and breakfast sandwiches.
