Fragrant Jewels Candle Review

I was lucky enough to win a candle of my choice from the Fragrant Jewels 30,000 fan contest and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try it out and do a review for you guys.

Fragrant Jewel candles have a ring in them that is worth up to $10,000! As most of you already know, there are already a lot of companies out there who sell candles with the same exact concept. This one boasts the highest value of rings. A portion of each sale is donated to a worthy cause (although they don't really state which cause that is).

Other companies package their candles in bubble wrap before they put them in the box and ship them out. This company basically has the same concept, except they are wrapped a bit thicker than just bubble wrap. And they are wrapped good enough that they shouldn't be damaged, but not so tightly that you can't get it open. It's actually kind of cute!

I chose the Tahitian Dream candle and they let me choose my ring size as well which was great because I have small fingers and usually never get rings that fit me out of other candles. The fragrance almost takes you away to a tropical vacation without ever leaving your home. It's a light tropical floral fragrance and smells so good and relaxing.

Usually candles with a single wick tend to not burn as evenly so I was a little concerned about the fact that this only has one. However, I had high hopes after discovering that the wax is a lot softer than most because these candles are made from coconut wax. My husband wanted to dig the ring out almost as soon as I lit it. Usually I'm the one with no patience, but today he was the one who couldn't wait.

I burned it for probably 4 and a half hours and this is really all it burned down to. It burned down evenly and I can tell that it will last me a few days. I say days because I tend to light candles when I wake up and let it burn until dinner time just about every day. If you only burn it every once in a while for an hour or so this could probably last you months. The scent wasn't overpowering, but at the same time, I can't really say that it "filled my home with fragrance". At this point, I was able to see the foil and decided to dig the ring out.

The ring comes in a little plastic baggie that is then wrapped in gold foil.

One thing I like about this company is that attached to each ring is a special code. You can go to their web site and enter the code to find out the value of your ring. With other companies I always had to take the rings to the jeweler to have them appraised so this saved me a lot of time.

Here is a better picture of my ring!

According to the site my ring is worth $25!

You can purchase your own Fragrant Jewels candle for $24.95 by visiting Fragrantjewels.com!

UPDATE: I have gotten a TON of comments and messages bashing my honest opinion of this company. I was in no way paid to write this. I won this in a contest. I state that in the very beginning of this post, which I sense a lot of you are not bothering to read before you post a comment.  I ordered one other product from this company in the 8 months since this was posted and I PERSONALLY did not have a single issue.

I have absolutely no control over order problems. If you do have problems with your order, please contact Fragrant Jewels. If you cannot find a way to contact them on the site (it's there, trust me), Google search is your friend. I very easily found their contact information just by searching the company name. It's a shame that I have to post an update like this to a post that is almost a year old on an opinion piece. Just as with anything in life and any company you do business with, there are those who have no problems and those who do. This was a post about the candle itself, the jewelry in it, and the packaging it came in. If you are offended by the opinion of others to the point of lashing out, please go outside, enjoy some fresh air, and re-evaluate.

Thank  You.

Update #2: Since I have gotten so many views on this, I have decided to go ahead and become an affiliate. I won't sugar coat things. This was my personal opinion and many have been impressed with the candles themselves after reading this and ordering. At the time I posted this, I was not affiliated with the company in any way and this was simply just an item I had won and decided to review on my own. I still stand by this company and their products.
