I really hate shopping for glasses at the optometrist. Actually, I hate shopping for glasses in general. I can never find the frames I like because I’m simple, yet maybe a little picky. But you know, I’ve discovered shopping online gives me far more options at much better prices. Even with insurance, an exam, lenses, and frames can get costly. I selected a simple pair of black rectangle frames for myself, but they have a pretty large variety of colors and styles for the whole family. As long as you know your prescription (which really just takes a call to your optometrist to obtain a copy), you can have new prescription glasses in no time. And I know you are thinking "Well, I can't try them on, though." You know what? You actually can! Obviously not in person, but you can upload a photo of yourself and try on your favorites virtually, or they also have the option to select a model photo to see the glasses on.
These particular glasses frames I selected came with a nose piece that seemed a little big for myself and the glasses themselves, but they were easily removable. I ended up just taking them off and I like them much better without. All frames also come in a plastic case with a cleaning cloth.
