Vegan Smart All-In-One Nutritional Shakes

Ever since I first started my fitness and healthy lifestyle journey, I have been on the hunt for some good protein shakes. I've tried dozens of them, in various flavors and at various prices. Thanks to Mom's Meet, I was able to try out the Vegan Smart Nutritional Shakes.

So, okay, I didn't start my journey off with protein shakes. It actually wasn't until about two years ago that I started looking into protein and nutritional shakes. I have always hated the idea of health shakes. To me, shakes were supposed to be a treat; something that isn't supposed to be healthy at all. So I knew anything made for your health was going to be gross. I realized, though, that since I had been cutting a lot of things out of my diet and wanted to gain and tone muscle, that I had to suck it up and incorporate some sort of shakes or bars into my diet. It wasn't until I was on the Nutrisystem blogger program that I actually found shakes that I genuinely loved. Their chocolate tasted exactly like a fudgesicle and the vanilla, once I added some apple cinnamon oatmeal, tasted exactly like an apple pie. The downside to that is I'm pretty sure they aren't as "nutritious" as they claim to be.

I've been low carb for quite some time now, and I feel great. The only problem is that, while being low carb, and taking the supplements I'm on to boost metabolism and energy, I have had no appetite at all. Which means, I'm not eating well. My body isn't getting all the nutrients and vitamins I need. I'm not about the unhealthy lifestyle that not eating well is going to bring me into. So I was happy about getting to try these Vegan Smart shakes. I figure, on days where my appetite is crap, I can at least supplement with a shake to still get in what my body needs to literally survive.

The Vegan Smart shakes are completely plant based with a blend of 5 different non-GMO proteins which help repair body tissue as well as build up muscle. It's loaded with tons of vitamins, minerals, and prebiotics while being diary free (I limit my dairy, which is why this appealed to me). Also, my supplements that I already take keep from being regular, but this stuff is packed with fiber, which counteracts that, thankfully.

Flavors include: Vanilla, Chocolate, Wild Berries, Chai, Peaches and Cream, Raspberry Chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake and Cookies and Cream.

The shake powder smells pretty good, actually, which I was surprised about because most of these kinds of shakes just smell absolutely terrible. I'm not even going to sugar coat it. I am super honest. Which is why I am going to tell you that I wasn't in love with these. They don't taste terrible, but they aren't great, either. Of course, I only tried the vanilla by itself. I'm sure once fresh fruit is added, that it would be much better. I also am still pretty interested in the other flavors; especially peach and strawberry. But I was not feeling the vanilla. Truth be told, there isn't really a protein or nutrition shake that is going to taste super excellent. I mean, let's be real. However, if I were to recommend the best out of all the one's I've tried (minus Nutrisystem, because remember I said I'm pretty sure there isn't anything "nutritious" about those...), I would suggest these ones for sure!

A 15-serving jug of VeganSmart All-In-One Nutritional Shake typically retails for $36.99. Which is a pretty normal price for these size containers in most brands.
