Degustabox Unboxing {November '17}

It's Degustabox time again and as always, I'm stoked to show you what came in the November box! This month, there were a lot of items that are perfect for holiday entertaining.

The first things I pulled out were the Aneto 100% Natural Chicken Broth and Bell's Seasoning. I haven't decided if I am going to use the broth for chicken soup or add it to my homemade noodles, but chicken broth is a pantry staple in our home, especially this time of year. As for the seasoning, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the ingredients making up the Bell's Seasoning were seasonings that I already use when I make my Thanksgiving turkey! This is a huge time saver for me, because instead of pulling out 8 different seasonings, I can just use this one.

Of course, there were beverages in this month's box and both are things I drink daily anyway, so that was awesome! I drink coffee every single morning and Cafe Bustelo might be different than what I'm use to, I actually like it. They are individual instant coffee packets with powdered milk included in it at only 80 calories.

I also sip on tea through out my day and one of my favorite tea flavors is peach. Typically, I drink unsweetened, but this peach rosemary tea was perfect. It wasn't too sweet and it was really refreshing. I was surprised that it is only 5 calories! I think I may have found a new brand of tea.

The wheels in my head started turning when I pulled the Goya soft tortillas and mild Pico De Gallo salsa out of the box. I know most people would automatically use them for tacos, or maybe bake or fry the tortillas and make chips for the salsa, but I saw these and had a craving for my Hidden Valley Ranch Pinwheels. I'll have to post a full recipe here, but it's ranch seasoning, cream cheese, carrots, and broccoli rolled into soft tortillas, cut into sections, and served with salsa. They are a huge hit at parties!

My husband is always first to grab packages of jerky when we receive them in boxes, but this time my kids got to it, and they loved this Country Archer Turkey Jerky. It's soft, chewy turkey jerky with a smokey hickory flavor.

In addition to the Jerky, we also received a sample of Rufus Teague Touch o' Heat BBQ Sauce. I haven't used this yet. I'm actually planning to give it a try when we have BBQ chicken this week, but I'm excited to try it. I love spicy BBQ sauce!

I kind of squealed when I saw the Walkers Shortbread Cookies, not so much because they are shortbread cookies, but because I love Scottie Dogs! These cookies may have been too adorable for me to eat, but my son loved them.

There was also a first for me in this box with the Mini Panettone. It's basically a fruit cake, and I've never had fruit cake before. I can now say that I am one of those people who is not a fan of fruit cake. I feel like it's an acquired taste. It's fluffy like a bread and I think if it were just raisins or cranberries, I would probably love it, but there are just too many flavors in one for me. It was certainly an experience, that's for sure and now I can say that I finally tried one.

The last two items in the box are always favorites. Lovely Candy Co Caramels, which we have received in boxes before and loved them, as well as an Oreo Chocolate Candy Bar, which was delicious!

Once again, this box was a huge hit with some new items as well as old favorites.
