Unboxing June Degustabox

Aw yes, it's that time ladies and gents! Degustabox time! Let's see what came in June's monthly box of goodies.

While June's box didn't technically have a theme to it, it did have a few products that you would probably use together, and that's one of the many things I have always loved about this box. They try to make sure a few of them items can be used together and you can try new flavors and brands all at one time.

This box was full of great items. A lot were products we have had before and loved, a few were brand new to us.

I'm always loving when they add sweets to the box. My kiddos enjoyed the ever loving heck out of these Walkers Vanilla Shortbread Cookies. I only got one, but they insisted on eating the rest of them with hazelnut spread, which I'll admit was a pretty good idea! They are buttery vanilla with a tiny bit of crunch and absolutely delicious.

I really have to stock up on these That's It bars because I love them. It is literally exactly what the package says. This is an apple, mango, chili bar and that is literally all it is. There is no additives in this what-so-ever. Apple and mango is always a good combination, but the addition of the chilis gives it a little spice. I can't believe my son actually liked it!

He also really loved the Tickle Water that came. It's a sparkling water beverage made just for kids. Not saying adults can't drink them, but I think kids are their main market. At any rate, this one came in watermelon, and since he is always drinking my Bubly, I knew he would like this brand, and sure enough, he totally did! It's like a soda, without all the calories, sugar, and bad stuff!

We are always keeping stock of tortillas in our house. Especially since we have tacos at least once a week. While I don't usually eat a whole lot of carbs, I will have the occasional tortilla and these fit in my tins that I use to make hard tortilla bowls in for salads! I've been using them to make the kiddos quesadillas, and sometimes I cut them into small squares or strips and fry them for chips to have with salsa (which we got in last month's box, actually).

We've used the Goya black beans frequently when we make homemade frozen burritos, which are a quick little lunch during the week. We wrap them individually in plastic wrap and keep them in a zip top bag in the freezer. When we want one, we just pull it out of the freezer and microwave for 1-2 minutes and then add sour cream and hot sauce.

The Goya seasoning is a new item to us. We've never tried this before, but it smells amazing! I'm already thinking of putting some on our burgers and our steaks on the grill this coming week and weekend! I imagine it's also pretty good on pizza or pastas! It's mostly a Mexican food seasoning, I think, but I'll be honest, I don't think there is much that this wouldn't be great on.

My husband is one of those people who hates tomatoes, but will still eat tomato based products. It's just the texture of the actual tomato he hates. My son, on the other hand, loves tomatoes. So other than fresh tomatoes, I don't normally buy them or put them in much of anything whole. So I have yet to decide what I'll do with this can that came in our box. I'm Italian, so I'm all for it and I know my son would be, but hubby and dear daughter aren't so thrilled.

I love True Lemon! I drink mostly water through out the day and I get really bored with it sometimes. Typically I will buy fresh lemons, but I can't carry a lemon on me when I'm not home. So I can throw these in my bag and have them on me while I'm out to add to my water. I'll be honest, I haven't tried it in anything other than water, but it really is 100% lemon flavor and I love it.

Our family has tried this brand a few times now, and the cinnamon sugar is the only one we actually liked, so I'm really glad we got a bag of Organic Grounded snack chips. They are much healthier than regular old potato chips and are gluten-free, so I really like that aspect. My son and daughter enjoy these immensely.

And of course, my kids were excited to see Zolli Pops in the box again. They still have yet to figure out that these special little lollies help clean their teeth after a meal. They just think I'm being extra generous giving them a lollipop after lunch or dinner. At any rate, they really like these and the the taffy we got last month was an even bigger hit!
