Clearer Skin With Malva Belle

*Legal stuff: This post may contain affiliate links. Hey, a mom's gotta pay bills, too!*

As a teenager, I had perfect skin. No exaggeration. My skin was pretty awesome. I rarely got breakouts. My friends would always ask me what my skin care routine was, but I never had one. As a matter of fact, often times I wouldn't even wash my makeup off at night Something I now do religiously! Unfortunately, my great skin didn't follow me into adulthood. No one tells you that breakouts actually get worse in your 30's! It was surprising to me since I take better care of my skin now than I did back then.

I frequently get blackheads, which are a bugger to remove, as well as Milia, which is like a white pimple, although not particularly a whitehead. They are essentially keratin that gets trapped under the skin and are near impossible to remove. I tend to get them on my cheekbone area and more recently my nose. They are even worse than blackheads and are typically caused by some type of damage to the skin such as dermabrasions, steroid creams, and sun damage. The only real way I've ever known to remove them is to have them taken care of by a dermatologist.

This extractor tool is supposed to take care of those stubborn blackheads and whiteheads, and I thought, well, why not give it a try?

At first glance, it looks rather scary to use. It's actually not bad. You just use the side that you feel more comfortable using or that is right for you, apply slight pressure to the skin, and gently side it across the skin to remove the blackhead. Depending on how much pressure you use, it could be rather uncomfortable. It shouldn't really hurt though. I mean, it shouldn't hurt any more than it would be to pop a regular pimple. The handle is textured for an easier grip and it's really easy to clean and disinfect (which I highly suggest you do between uses).

I haven't tried this on my Milia yet, but since it works great on blackheads, as stubborn as they are to remove, I was hoping it might take care of the Milia as well. We shall see!
