Cel-Lab Slim Cellulite Cream Review

As a mom and a women who has lost a significant amount of weight through the last few years, I know the struggle with cellulite and loose, unsightly skin. My days of supple, well moisturized, and cellulite free skin are long gone. But it really doesn't have to be that way. I know I may never have perfect skin again like I did at 19, but I can still have decent skin at 30.

I'll be honest, I've always thought cellulite creams were a ridiculous waste of money. Don't get me wrong, there are some out there that do moisturize, but they don't really reduce the appearance of cellulite. I know it's probably always going to be there, but the less noticeable while I'm wearing shorts or a cute mini skirt , the better. I've tried out quite a few since I first started blogging. They each had their own benefits, but I didn't want to use 3 or 4 different products at a time. I should only need to use one and be satisfied. And then I found this cellulite cream from Cel-Lab.

First off, let me point out that this is a first in many ways when it comes to cellulite cream. It comes in this pretty pink color which is completely unlike any other cream I've run across on the market. Most creams are white or a tan color. Not that the color really matters since you are rubbing it into your skin anyways, but it makes it a lot more appealing, in my opinion.

Next is the scent. As someone who has tried so many cellulite creams that I feel I should look like Cassandra from Doctor Who (NERD ALERT), I've come to discover that none of them have a pleasant scent. Some of them down right stink to high heaven. No one wants to wear stinky creams. Here's the next best thing about this Cel-Lab Cellulite Cream... It has a very lovely floral scent which is a bit of a light rose bouquet scent. So not only is it attractive, it smells so darn good, that no one is going to notice that you just applied cellulite cream!

This is a cream that works better if you are active and workout. It's more for tightening small areas that can't be tightened and "fixed" by exercise alone. Goodbye ridiculously unsightly mommy pouch!

It truly does moisturize and seems to brighten the skin a bit after a few applications. One of the ways to reducing the appearance of cellulite is well moisturized skin. Well moisturized skin is tighter and more toned. Sometimes regular lotions just do not cut it. That's where this stuff comes in handy.

My first application was a bit more than I expected. I usually put creams on straight out of the shower because I know that pores are more opened and it's typically more effective for absorption. I applied it to my thighs, upper arms, and abdominal area. As I was rubbing it in and enjoying the smell, I thought to myself, "This smells so nice, that I may apply it twice a day!" I even thought that even if it didn't work, the scent alone was nice enough to make me want to purchase more just to use as a "lotion".

A few hours later, my thighs began to burn. This wasn't a mild burning either. It literally felt like my thighs were on fire for a solid 4 hours. I didn't notice it anywhere else that applied it. I also wasn't expecting it at all, but based on other reviews online, I found that it was supposed to have a tingly feeling to it. I realized instantly that my results may have been due to my decision to apply it right after the shower. Sure enough, I'm pretty sure I was right. I have used it for the last few days and I haven't had that unbearable burning feeling since then. It still gives a warm sensation, but it's nowhere near as uncomfortable as the first time I applied it. So the lesson here is to NOT apply it directly out of the shower. This cream is to be more effective when you are active. I admittedly have not been very active this week and have kind of been bumming it around the house when typically, I'm running around all day long. Hey, I have a very active toddler remember? However, I can tell you that it is most certainly giving my skin more of a "glow" associated with healthy, moisturized skin. I can also tell that it's starting to tighten my skin in more of the looser areas as well, which is absolutely fantastic! This cream has, for sure, earned it's place in my daily routine forever.

  1. Thank you for such a wonderful review. I love the name Cel-FAB, why didn't we think of that? Lol.

As far as the burn, applying after the shower is good if you want the burn and don't have sensitive skin. Some customers have told me they want more burn. I suggest people judge their tolerance to Cel-Lab by applying to dry skin and assessing how much they can withstand by adding water (via workout would be best) but any way is fine. You can just splash water on areas that already have the cream with your hand.

Also, that lovely smell is comprised of rose and neroli extract. If you'd like to read more about the amazing Sicilian Orange Blossom and the Italian Duchess who first started using it, visit here: http://ow.ly/Joyn5
