Things To Do With Glow Sticks

*The legal stuff: This post may contain affiliate links. Hey! I have bills to pay, too!*

We typically purchase a large amount of glow bracelets, necklaces, and other such accessories for our outdoor parties over the summer. They are fun not only for the kiddos, but the adults love them too! When my husband and I got married, we had a luau themed cookout to celebrate with family and friends because we had gotten married in front of a JP. I had purchased glow in the dark leis for everyone to wear at night and they were a huge hit. I love things that glow in the dark. Let's face it, I'm a 30 year old child. But did you know there are other awesome ways to use glow sticks?

I've scanned Pinterest for some of my favorite glow stick projects and compiled many of them here for you.

How cute are these printable Yoda Valentine's from Design, Wash, Rinse, Repeat? Just insert a glow bracelet as a "lightsaber"

Speaking of lightsabers, there's also this one from Brassy Apple!

Why not make playing in the snow at night more fun? Put some glow sticks in the snow!

Another useful and cool idea is to put a glow stick in a bucket of ice during outdoor parties at night to keep cold drinks in.

Hand them out on Halloween to trick or treaters. Not only are they fun, but it ensures the trick or treaters are able to be seen in the dark.

Play glow in the dark ring toss. Stick two larger glow sticks in the ground and toss glow necklaces.

Cut open a few glow sticks, pour the liquid inside of a jar, put the lid on the jar, and shake it up for a fun night light.

Throw a few in your swimming pool at night or in the bathtub with your kids to light up the water.

Add them to your wedding or party centerpieces!

Put glow sticks in balloons to hang up at your party.

Put small glow sticks in Easter eggs for a fun Easter egg hunt at night.

Add a glow stick in a jar with some cotton balls and plastic spiders for a quick and inexpensive Halloween decoration.

Put a glow bracelet around a party cup to make it easier to see at an outdoor party at night.

Break a glow stick in half and add it to clear nail polish.

Just be creative and have fun with it!
