Petunia Skincare Professional 12 Set Makeup Brush Kit Review

I'm pretty fickle about makeup brushes. I want them to be high quality without having to pay a ridiculous price. I also want them to look cute because I keep them in the two wine glasses I got from my senior prom, displayed on my dresser. The Petunia Skincare Professional Brush Kit is not only high quality, but price wise they come in at a nice $47.77. When you consider the amount of brushes you get and the gorgeous carrying case, I would say that's quite an impressive price. Even the box the set comes in is adorable and ready to gift!

Included in the set are these 12 brushes. I really love that they give you a run down of what each brush is used for. For years I've been pretty basic with my makeup routine and bushes, but recently got into a more professional look and with so many different brushes, I never know which ones to use.

The brushes in this set are really soft and made with a combination of high quality pony hair, goat hair, and synthetic hair with black wooden handles and red accents. They do not hold the makeup in the bristles meaning you get a more even coverage and better usage of your cosmetics.

The sleek black travel bag has a snake skin type print and is really quite lovely, in my opinion. They even include free brush guards to protect your brushes and keep them in tip top shape. The description for these brushes states that they do not need to be cleaned frequently, but in all honesty, despite the fact that they don't hold the makeup in the bristles like other brushes sometimes do, they will still acquire bacteria that you are going to want to clean off to prevent breakouts.

Cleaning these brushes (and any makeup brushes) is pretty simple. I usually dampen them with some warm water and swirl them in a little mild shampoo (I use baby shampoo) in the palm of my hand and then rinse them off making sure to not get any water in the metal area just before the wooden handle. I then either set them flat on a towel to air dry, or if I need them again right away, blow dry them in the lowest setting.

You can purchase these gorgeous brushes right now on Amazon.
