Essential Oils: Lemon

Lemon essential oils are just like the coconut and peppermint oils that I have recently tried out. Of course, all oils basically do the same things, but you'll find that some are better than others for certain things. For example, lavender essential oils would be great to use in the bedroom in defuses or better used for moisturizing purposes right before bed as lavender has a calming, relaxing scent to it.

Lemon oil is perfect for household use. Who doesn't like the fresh scent of lemon, especially in the summer?

I mainly use my lemon oil by adding a few drops to my vacuum's filter or a few drops to my homemade cleaners, but lemon oil has many other beneficial uses.

*Removes gum, oil, grease, and crayon from surfaces including hair and clothing
*Add to your dishwater, soap container to make your dishes sparkle
*Add to a spray bottle of water, spritz on hair,  and hit the sunshine for some natural highlights (think Sun-In)
*Add a few drops to some defuses for a pick me up. Lemon oil is said to improve mood!
*Use a lemon oil soaked clothe to preserve leather
*Sooths colds, coughs, and other respiratory issues
*Control cold sores with just a few drops
*Add a few drops to your water for a gentle detox or to relieve heartburn
*Add to some baking soda and sprinkle on carpets to freshen them up
*Flavor icing, cakes, cookies and lemonade
*Can be used in recipes as a substitute for lemon juice or the zest of one lemon

The uses are endless really. I found so many uses on Pinterest and a lot of them I was pretty surprised about and even more surprised that they worked. Essential oils are definitely worth looking into ad having on hand.

You can purchase a bottle of Majestic Pure Lemon Essential Oil on Amazon right now for $18.50 with Prime.
