Framesi BY Masque Review and GIVEAWAY!

Framesi BY Masque is an intense treatment for your hair with rich, whole grain proteins with amino acids.  It helps restrcture and rebuild damaged hair.  Adds strength and thermal and UV protectants.  Perfect for color-treated hair.
I have really dry, damaged hair from years of coloring and most recently a really horrible bleach job that I did when I dyed my hair with the really horrible Splat Hair Dye. Because of all this, my hair tends to be really frizzy and rough to the touch when it's dry. I also use either a straightening iron or a curling iron on it daily. All this takes a lot out of my hair in addition to not only hereditary hair issue but just aging in general.

I've always used L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo and Conditioner to keep it looking fairly healthy. However, recently, my hair has sort of gotten "use to" both of them. I needed something new. That's why I was excited to be able to try the Framesi BY Masque.

I expected it to be quite thick, but it's actually about the same thickness as your average conditioner. While in the shower, I shampooed and rinsed then applied this to my clean hair and let it sit for about 5-6 minutes while I washed up and shaved. I can tell you straight away that the scent of this stuff goes beyond unpleasant! Initially, it didn't smell too awful right out of the bottle, but it smelled down right awful after I put it in my hair. It made my hair smell exactly like a wet dog. I was hoping it would rinse the smell out with it, but nope.

After getting out of the shower, I blow dried my hair thinking that maybe the smell would disappear once my hair was dry. It did dissipate a bit, but unfortunate the smell stays put. Smell aside, it did soften and smooth my hair. It didn't do much for my split or damaged ends, but I'm thinking that maybe a longer treatment applied only to the ends might take care of that. Or at least I'm hoping.

To be perfectly honest, I'm influenced a lot by the smell of a product. Most times, it doesn't matter how well the product works, if it smells awful, I want nothing to do with it. If you can get past the smell, this product might work perfectly for you. The odor is really the only downside to it and as I said, it did dissipate after I blow dried my hair so I think that maybe after it airs out a bit, it might be just fine.

If you would like to check out the product, you can find it at Beauty Care Choices and be sure to enter the giveaway below for a chance to win a free bottle to try out yourself!
