Horror Block ~ July 2014

Horror Block is another subscription box that's sent out month by the same people who bring out Nerd Block Classic and Nerd Block Junior but is geared towards horror fans.

I cannot tell you how excited I was when they announced this a few months ago. As some of you may know, I am a gigantic horror fan and this was a must have!

Unlike the other Nerd Block subscriptions, this one comes in a block box with the image of a bloody hand print on it. Too cool!

This is how it comes packaged. They give a description of what's in the box on the shipping label, which, truth be told, isn't the greatest idea since it just fuels the fire for the mail man or your neighbors to open your box and steal your goodies and lets face it, who would blame them. However, I like to be surprised so I don't usually look at that.

Here it is in all it's gloriousness!
"Don't open :: Dead Inside"

Every month of Horror Block includes the latest issue of Rue Morgue Magazine. It's a horror publication out of Canada (where Nerd Block is shipped from) and is highly popular with horror geeks.

It was revealed that this month's box would have something highlighting Aliens. My husband and I had initially thought it was going to be a figure of some sort and he was more stoked than I was because he loves that movie and with the new game releasing soon, we thought it was perfect timing. Although we were a little bummed that it ended up being these pins, he was still pretty happy about getting something Aliens related.

This little "VooDoo Doll" looking guy is a "Zumbie". He and his friends all represent various "lucks" such as wealth, good looks, athletic ability, and various others. They all have a little chain so you can attach them to your keys or backpack or even hang them in your car.

They also sent out these Nightmare Before Christmas trading figures. I thought, initially, that these were "blind boxes", but there's no surprise in these. They tell you what you got inside on the cover of the box. This one was Sally. However, we noticed from the pictures that Zero actually ends up coming with a different character and NOT Jack, so that was slightly odd, but the figures are nice, none the less.

I collect Pop! Vinyl figures so I was excited about this. It doesn't even matter to me that it's from the craptacular movie Sharknado. If it's a Pop! I'll collect it and I'll love it!

This was the monthly tee. I shouldn't have to explain what movie this is from especially if you grew up in the 80's.

And here's a picture of me adorned by awesomeness!
