Bluum June 2014 Box

While we were away in Philly over the weekend our last Bluum box came. I say "our last" because we had a 6 month subscription and it ran out. Usually they just charge you for another 6 months once the first run is up, however we decided to halt the sub for now so we can try out and review other boxes. I'd love to be able to have a subscription to multiple boxes at a time (we already have a few), but lets be honest, who has that kind of money?

This is what came in the 23 month box

It would figure that the last box we get ends up having some pretty good things in it. To be honest though, I think out of the 6 months we have been subscribed, I've only been mildly displeased with one box. That's pretty good odds since everything is completely random. This was also a two book box as well, which we LOVE!

Forgive the horrible pictures. I took these at about 10 at night, the exact night we got back from our trip. I was tired, but wanted to open our box and get pictures so my son could have his things. And admittedly, I took these photos while in bed. Like I said, I was exhausted.

Bumpkins Waterproof Super Bib in Mickey Mouse Classic ($6.95)
Bumpkins makes adorable baby products. Anything from cloth diapers and bibs to the cutest teething jewelry, totes and dishware.
I have a love/hate relationship with this product. We are a Disney loving household, so I was stoked we got a Disney product! However, the "hate" part is that I can't even use this. My son is almost two and hasn't used a bib since he was roughly 12 months old. As a matter of fact, this bib states it is for 6-23 months. Why on Earth they would send an item he could only use for about a month (assuming we even still used bibs), is beyond me. Luckily, my nephew is still young enough to wear it so that's where it will be re-homed.

Re-Play Snack Stack in Aqua ($5.99)

These snack cups are made from recycled milk jugs and can be stacked/screwed onto each other for a convenient travel system. They come in twos but you can purchase more and stack as many as you like. They are FDA approved recycled plastic, dishwasher safe, durable and lightweight, tested for safety, BPA free, and made in the USA.

Fresh Baby Plate ($8.95)

This colorful plate is divided into 4 appropriate sized portion sections each representing fruits, veggies, grains, and proteins. It emphasizes healthy lifestyle in being active and eating a rainbow of colors. It's durable and dishwasher safe, but not to be used in the microwave as well as being lead, BPA, and phthalate free.

Little Learners: Little Rabbit Waits for The Moon Book ($8.00)

This board book is about an adorable little rabbit who is very tired and wants to go to sleep. However, he has no one to watch over him, so he hops around the forest asking how long he has to wait for the moon. It's a perfect bedtime story for your little and wonderful for early readers.
The website I found these books on had the most adorable selection of books for babies/toddlers. I will no doubt be purchasing more in the near future!

Helping Hands: Cook It by Child's Play Books ($5.99)

We have a few other books by this company and my children loved them. This one is slightly more advanced than the others though.
Helping with real tasks is a natural progression from pretend play and is a crucial stage in child development. Achieving a shared goal encourages a sense of responsibility and develops many skills that are useful later in life. Simple conversational text and lively illustrations are designed to encourage further dialog between reader and child. There are other books in the Helping Hands series such as Recycling, Moving day, Party, Shopping, Fix It, Grow it, and Clean It.

As always, if you are interested in subscribing or would like more info, you can visit Bluum and for new subscribers, use code "HALFOFF" at checkout for 50% off your first box!
