I had a chance to try Chanel's Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth Effect Sunscreen/Foundation.

I don't normally think to highly of the designer brand makeup mostly because I can always find something equally as effective in a cheaper brand. And lets face it, as a mommy, who has that kind of money to spend on beauty products. However, I was pleasantly surprised at this product.

It does go on very smooth and isn't cakey at all. It matched my skin tone rather perfectly and gave me a more natural looking complexion with less coverage. It also has a nice flowery scent that I personally think smelled like freesia . Most makeup I've run across in any brand has a very cosmetic smell to it. This gives a light matte-velvet finish that lasts all day and I love that I can put just this on and not have to worry about concealer or bronzer or any other makeup and still look flawless.

Now, the price isn't very desirable but I honestly think it's well worth it since it's a really good product. It retails for $45 on their web site, but you might be lucky enough to find it maybe slightly cheaper some place else. You'll just have to look around and price shop. For as little as you need of it to get that flawless coverage, it should last quite a long time. I only needed anywhere from a pea size to dime size amount.

There is a sample in the latest Allure magazine if you would like to give it a try and see how it works for you.
